#500
Yes, that is right. This is post #500! :) I thought about doing something really different, then I thought about making it really long. But then I thought that if this is going to be something mile stoneish lets make it special. So I am sharing some verses from my FAVORITE book. :)
Psalm 103
1 Bless the LORD, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
8 The LORD is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
11 For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father pities his children,
So the LORD pities those who fear Him.
14 For He knows our frame;
He remembers that we are dust.
15 As for man, his days are like grass;
As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
16 For the wind passes over it, and it is gone,
And its place remembers it no more.
17 But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting
On those who fear Him,
And His righteousness to children’s children,
19 The LORD has established His throne in heaven,
And His kingdom rules over all.
22 Bless the LORD, O my soul!
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!

Psalm 96
A Song of Praise to God Coming in Judgment
1 Oh, sing to the LORD a new song!
Sing to the LORD, all the earth.
2 Sing to the LORD, bless His name;
Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.
3 Declare His glory among the nations,
His wonders among all peoples.
4 For the LORD is great and greatly to be praised;
He is to be feared above all gods.
5 For all the gods of the peoples are idols,
But the LORD made the heavens.
6 Honor and majesty are before Him;
Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
7 Give to the LORD, O families of the peoples,
Give to the LORD glory and strength.
8 Give to the LORD the glory due His name;
Bring an offering, and come into His courts.
9 Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness!
Tremble before Him, all the earth.
10 Say among the nations, “The LORD reigns;
The world also is firmly established,
It shall not be moved;
He shall judge the peoples righteously.”
11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad;
Let the sea roar, and all its fullness;
12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it.
Then all the trees of the woods will rejoice
13 before the LORD.
For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth.
He shall judge the world with righteousness,
And the peoples with His truth.
Sons and Heirs
26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
It fills me......

Good Morning Sunshine
This morning I awoke, I'm not telling you what time :), to sunshine and robins singing their little hearts out. I had left my window open just a smidgen, I've been getting sick of that stale wintry bedroom smell, and to my EXTREME pleasure awake to a chorus of "Good morning Leah!" You didn't know that the birds know my name did you? :) My Father in Heaven is so good to me. He gives me such pleasure in the smallest things, He knows what gives me delight. What a wonderful loving Father! :)
I also awoke to find that I had lost a sock during the course of the night. Now this is not uncommon, it happens quite regularly. Actually one morning I found I had lost a sock and discovered it by my head! Hm... an odd place for a sock. But this morning I lost it and I looked all over my bed for it and it was no where to be found. I'll probably find it next time I change my bed sheets. I don't know why I find it comical, but I do. So I did what any other normal bloggy person would do. I blogged about it of course! :) Okay, now that I have officially weirded you all out by telling you about my adventurous sock I'm going to jot a little thing that has been wondering around in my noggin. Quite odd though I must warn you....
(I don't know if that's officially considered "poetry" but whatever it is I enjoy writing it.)
Two little feet slipped into bed after being massagerized, lotionized, and sockerized,
they cuddled way down in the sheets, quite happy to be finally put to bed,
and after a great deal of wandering and sneaking they finally fell asleep,
but I'm afraid sometime during the night a frightful thing did occur
for in the process of bobbing and searching the most awful thing did happen,
one of the lotiony little white socks somehow did slip off,
and all through the night that poor little foot did shiver, and shake,
all lonesome without its little white sock, slept not even a wink that poor little thing,
while the other sock, quite warm to the toes, noticed not the dilemma over yonder,
it slept on and on through the night hours unaware of the tragedy of the other,
but when morning did dawn and out came those feet,
out out they came from beneath the mound and blinked and winked at me,
one appeared quite sad all bare and pink and the other just looked at me,
I looked to and fro and fro and to for that little white sock I did,
but alas it was for waste for I found it not,
whatever happened to that little white sock in the course of the night,
well your guess is as good as mine,
but I've resolved to let it be for it's probably happier just to be free,
for there is a certain pleasure in hiding and not being found,
but someday I shall find that little white sock of mine,
and I shall put it back together with its friend again.
(I don't know if that's officially considered "poetry" but whatever it is I enjoy writing it.)
Oh! I was almost forgetting, it rained!! Yes, a wonderful steady March rain. I wish I could have captured it all up for you, the distinct fresh smell, the pitter patter of the the rain, the cool rush of the wind. But alas it cannot be done!! The best I could do is take a video. I know that it just looks like the black screen of death but I assure you that if you turn up the volume you should be able to hear the rain.
We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks!
For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near.

This is going to be a post containing pictures that have nothing to do with some verses that I love. :)
Psalm 93
The Eternal Reign of the LORD
1 The LORD reigns, He is clothed with majesty;
The LORD is clothed,He has girded Himself with strength.
Surely the world is established, so that it cannot be moved.
2 Your throne is established from of old;
You are from everlasting.
3 The floods have lifted up, O LORD,
The floods have lifted up their voice;
The floods lift up their waves.
4 The LORD on high is mightier
Than the noise of many waters,
Than the mighty waves of the sea.
5 Your testimonies are very sure;
Holiness adorns Your house,
O LORD, forever.
