*First Snowfall*

Outside
The snow is falling, the wind blowing fiercely, the trees swaying.
Leaves rustling, the windchill cold enough to freeze your bone marrow.
Snow beginning to stick to the naked trees

Inside
Christmas guitar playing softly in the background
The main dinning room light is off, a bowl of lights in the corner,
the glow of the afternoon light coming through the window
Carrots, potatoes, broccoli, beans and stuffing in a warm pan,
remains of sweet bread and creamy coleslaw on our plates,
a small candle burning in the middle of the table,
a blueberry scent rising lazily from it
sounds of the water from the tea pot dripping in the kitchen,
the thoughts of tea arouses the senses
sounds of the wind searching for something
Mark 7 being read by Dad
a long brown skirt fit snugly around the legs,
a rosy colored sweater keeping me in the perfect state of warmness
brown knee high socks to keep the toes from freezing
talk of a corn stove, popcorn, afternoon football, tea and upcoming weather
the gentle thud of the Bible being closed
a sigh and a push off of the wooden chair
and we're off to wash the dinner dishes

for me to live is Christ and to die is gain...

I posted earlier in the week about my Grandma's death. I thought instead of writing a post explaining it or giving verses and whatnot I thought I'd send you to a couple of blogs that I found EXTREMELY comforting. Ana has a great one on this and so does Katya.

If you could be in prayer for my family at this time. My grandma, my Dad's mom, passed away Sunday morning. If you want to you can swing by my Dad's blogs and leave him a comment. I'll post about more details later but for right now if you could just be in prayer.

How is it going?

Wow! I haven't written in such a long time!!! How are you all doing? I'm doing great. Been pretty busy... but it's all good! Leave a comment and tell me what you are all up to and how you are doing. :)

which one...which one...

I am trying to find a new background for my blog but it is so hard!!! My sister found this really really cool place where you can get different blog backgrounds but it is so hard for me to pick which one I like the most. So if you all could maybe help me with it? I will change the background every now and then and if you could just leave a comment saying if you like it or not or what you think of it, would be so helpful!! :) Here is the link to the site. Hope you enjoy. But please don't forget to leave a comment! :) Oh... also add what colors you think would go good with them as well. Please! :)
