*First Snowfall*

Outside
The snow is falling, the wind blowing fiercely, the trees swaying.
Leaves rustling, the windchill cold enough to freeze your bone marrow.
Snow beginning to stick to the naked trees

Inside
Christmas guitar playing softly in the background
The main dinning room light is off, a bowl of lights in the corner,
the glow of the afternoon light coming through the window
Carrots, potatoes, broccoli, beans and stuffing in a warm pan,
remains of sweet bread and creamy coleslaw on our plates,
a small candle burning in the middle of the table,
a blueberry scent rising lazily from it
sounds of the water from the tea pot dripping in the kitchen,
the thoughts of tea arouses the senses
sounds of the wind searching for something
Mark 7 being read by Dad
a long brown skirt fit snugly around the legs,
a rosy colored sweater keeping me in the perfect state of warmness
brown knee high socks to keep the toes from freezing
talk of a corn stove, popcorn, afternoon football, tea and upcoming weather
the gentle thud of the Bible being closed
a sigh and a push off of the wooden chair
and we're off to wash the dinner dishes

for me to live is Christ and to die is gain...

I posted earlier in the week about my Grandma's death. I thought instead of writing a post explaining it or giving verses and whatnot I thought I'd send you to a couple of blogs that I found EXTREMELY comforting. Ana has a great one on this and so does Katya.

How is it going?

Wow! I haven't written in such a long time!!! How are you all doing? I'm doing great. Been pretty busy... but it's all good! Leave a comment and tell me what you are all up to and how you are doing. :)

which one...which one...

I am trying to find a new background for my blog but it is so hard!!! My sister found this really really cool place where you can get different blog backgrounds but it is so hard for me to pick which one I like the most. So if you all could maybe help me with it? I will change the background every now and then and if you could just leave a comment saying if you like it or not or what you think of it, would be so helpful!! :) Here is the link to the site. Hope you enjoy. But please don't forget to leave a comment! :) Oh... also add what colors you think would go good with them as well. Please! :)

Marshmallow Brownies

This is a recipe that I got from a lady that I work with. She said there really isn't a set way of making it. Here is what I did...

1. Bake an instant brownie mix like you normally would.
2. Spread a jar of marshmallows on it while it is still warm.
3. Sprinkle chocolate chips on it and put it back in the oven for about 5 min.
4. Take it out and swirl the chocolate chips until it looks like what you want.

And that is all there is too it! Easy as...well brownies! :)

Weaponry

So, for The Wizard of Oz play I said that we would make some "spears" for the Winkies. They turned out really good!! I love them and so do the guys.. so I guess that's what counts right? haha anyway. We took 2x4 's cut them down to the right size for the staff part of it. Cut out an outline of the blade cut those out. And my dad put this really cool edge on the blades so they actually looked like a knife blade! We painted the staff part black and the blade silver. They are about 6 feet tall. I can't believe the play is next weekend!! It is soo close. Hopefully we'll get some pictures and I'll post. :)

Have Thine Own Way, Lord

Have thine own way, Lord! Have thine own way!
Thou art the potter, I am the clay.
Mold me and make me after thy will,
while I am waiting, yielded and still.

Have thine own way, Lord! Have thine own way!
Search me and try me, Savior today!
Wash me just now, Lord, wash me just now,
as in thy presence humbly I bow.

Have thine own way, Lord! Have thine own way!
Wounded and weary, help me I pray!
Power, all power, surely is thine!
Touch me and heal me, Savior divine!

Have thine own way, Lord! Have thine own way!
Hold o'er my being absolute sway.
Fill with thy Spirit till all shall see
Christ only, always, living in me!

Lord, Send Me Anywhere

O Lord, since Thou has died To give Thyself for me,
No sacrifice would be too great For me to make for Thee.

Chorus
Lord, send me anywhere, Only go with me; Lay any burden on me,
Only sustain me. Sever any tie, Save the tie that binds me to Thy heart
Lord Jesus, my King, I consecrate my life, Lord, to Thee.

I only have one life, And that will soon be past;
I want my life to count for Christ, What's done for Him will last.

Chorus
Lord, send me anywhere, Only go with me; Lay any burden on me,
Only sustain me. Sever any tie, Save the tie that binds me to Thy heart
Lord Jesus, my King, I consecrate my life, Lord, to Thee.

I follow Thee, my Lord, and glory in Thy cross;
I gladly leave the lord behind And count all gain as loss.

Chorus
Lord, send me anywhere, Only go with me; Lay any burden on me,
Only sustain me. Sever any tie, Save the tie that binds me to Thy heart
Lord Jesus, my King, I consecrate my life, Lord, to Thee.

~:Grettings:~

Greetings from a very busy place! :) See I have not forgotten my friends. My days have been quite filled. :) Between work, play practice, cleaning the house for company, creating swords and old looking documents for The Wizard of Oz, to trying to keep my room at least half clean. It is been fun.. but I can say that I am really looking forward to school starting on Tuesday. After school starts I will only be going into work after 3pm. Which is fine with me because I've got a lot to do. I still haven't finished my math from last year. :) Shame on me. I'm pretty sure that I've worked on about 2 lessons in about 3 months. That's gettin' 'er done hu? :) All in all it has been a wonderful summer. Very fast and very trying. But good nonetheless. One of the many things that I have been learning this summer is that God's timing is always perfect. I mean there are really no words to describe it. For example, when I tried out for The Wizard of Oz play I was pretty much heart broken when I didn't get the the part of Dorothy. But thinking on it now I would not have had time for it!! I mean I am so busy!! So I thought that was cool that God had that planned out so that I was not so over busy that I would pretty much go insane!! Another thing I noticed about how good God is to me. This might have no meaning to any of you but it is something that is a big deal to me :) In my room I had my bed right below my window so that I could feel the breeze in the summer time when the windows were open. I recently rearrange my room and now my bed is in a corner of my room kind of next to the window. I hadn't thought about it until that night that I will not be able to feel the breeze any more since my bed wasn't right below the window. So I was slightly agitated and kind of depressed because there was such a lovely breeze blowing through my window. So anyways, I was lying in bed thinking about how I wished that my bed was below the window so I could feel the breeze, and the Lord all of a sudden sent a very strong breeze through my window and I felt it on my bed where I was. And I found a spot where I can feel the breeze at night. I almost cried because I realized how much God really cares for me and for my wants. God pays attention to even the smallest things, like gentle breezes through a window. It just really made me stop and think about how we have such a Loving and Awesome God! That he should care about such little sinning creatures as us! WOW!
I also misplaced my memory card for my camera and was pretty sure that I had thrown it in the garbage or that it had gotten lost somewhere never to be found. My mom and I looked through 2 garbage bags trying to find my camera card. It was unproductive and so I kinda figured that I was let it go and hopefully it would show up some time or another. And low and behold the Lord helped me find it. In my purse! :) Why it would be in there? I have no idea! :) hehe! So I was really thankful for that as well.
Yesterday evening my sister and I went to clean my grandma's new apartment with our Aunt and Uncle. We thoroughly cleaned it top to bottom so now we have no fears of what might live in the carpet, in the cabinet in the bathroom, between the pieces of tile in the bathroom or below the kitchen sink . We had such a good time with our Aunt and Uncle, plus we both just LOVE cleaning!! Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me so... no pictures! Sorry! :)
Play practice has been really fun but extremely time consuming! :) I haven't had the chance to take pictures of our process, but Lord willing I will be able to soon. For our play we got to be in the town parade, so that was A LOT of fun! :) ( If you haven't noticed I really enjoy using the smiley faces :) ) It has been a great opportunity for me to share the gospel and to show what the Lord has done in my life.
Working at the bank..ahem Credit Union... has really been great too. I really get a chance to share the gospel. It's just a matter of me being bold. And for those of you who know me you might think that it wouldn't be a problem for me... but it is! :) So pray the the Lord would help me to speak the Word with all boldness and without shame. :) For there is nothing to be ashamed of. :)
Well, I should stop writing now. Lord willing I will get some pictures up here soon. I've got a ton of them!! Being that I used Ana's camera for a while there I haven't gotten a chance to get them off of her card. I will also hopefully have some pictures of the weapons that we are making for the Winkies in our play. They are really cool looking! Well, until then. Grace and Peace to you, from God our Father!

Remember these patterns?

You may not remember, but for my birthday my parents bought me some patterns. Well, I finally got around to posting about them. I finished them about the end of June or so but I just had not taken pictures of them. :) I just love them!
