Sunday

Satisfied

All my life long I had panted for a drink from some cool spring
that I hoped would quench the burning of the thirst I felt within.

(Refrain)
Hallelujah! I have found him whom my soul so long has craved!
Jesus satisfies my longings; through his blood I now am saved.

Feeding on the husks around me till my strength was almost gone,
longed my soul for something better, only still to hunger on.

(Refrain)
Hallelujah! I have found him whom my soul so long has craved!
Jesus satisfies my longings; through his blood I now am saved.

Poor I was, and sought for riches, something that would satisfy;
but the dust I gathered round me only mocked my soul's sad cry.

(Refrain)
Hallelujah! I have found him whom my soul so long has craved!
Jesus satisfies my longings; through his blood I now am saved.

Well of water ever springing, bread of life so rich and free,
untold wealth that never faileth, my Redeemer is to me.

(Refrain)
Hallelujah! I have found him whom my soul so long has craved!
Jesus satisfies my longings; through his blood I now am saved.

Psalm 3

O LORD, how my adversaries have increased!
Many are rising up against me.

Many are saying of my soul,
"There is no deliverance for him in God."

But You, O LORD, are a shield about me,
My glory, and the One who lifts my head.

I was crying to the LORD with my voice,
And He answered me from His holy mountain.

I lay down and slept;
I awoke, for the LORD sustains me.

I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people
Who have set themselves against me round about.

Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God!
For you have smitten all my enemies on the cheek;
You have shattered the teeth of the wicked.

Salvation belongs to the LORD;
Your blessing be upon Your people!
