I was able to post Part 1 of the wedding pictures I took.
I'd love it if you'd pop on over and take a look at them! :)

Vintage Wedding

This past weekend I had the privileged of capturing my friend's wedding pictures. It was a vintage styled wedding, so beautiful! Her wedding dress was her Grandma's. Hopefully I'll get through the 4,512 pictures that I took. For now, you only get one. :)

Deo Cantamus

We have had the privilege for the past year or so to participate in a chorale in the cities which is directed by a friend of ours. It is such a blessing to be able to sing in it! Here are a few videos from the March performance.

Here is the website for the organization.

They are all close to my heart, but Light Everlasting and In Paradisum are my favorites. :)

Favorite Quotes by Corrie ten Boom

“Do you know what hurts so very much? It's love. Love is the strongest force in the world, and when it is blocked that means pain. There are two things we can do when this happens. We can kill that love so that it stops hurting. But then of course part of us dies, too. Or we can ask God to open up another route for that love to travel.”
―  The Hiding Place

“We are up against the unseen power that controls this dark world and the spiritual agents are from the very headquarters of evil. Therefore, we must wear the "whole armour of God," that we may be able to resist evil in its day of power, and that even when we have fought to a standstill, we may still stand our ground.”

“When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don’t throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer.”

“It is not on our forgiveness any more than on our goodness that the world's healing hinges, but His. When He tells us to love our enemies, He gives, along with the command, the love itself.”

“This is what the past is for! Every experience God gives us, every person He puts in our lives is the perfect preparation for the future that only He can see.”
―  The Hiding Place

“Hold everything in your hands lightly, otherwise it hurts when God pries your fingers open.”

“Worrying is carrying tomorrow's load with today's strength- carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time. Worrying doesn't empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.”

“Life is but a Weaving” (the Tapestry Poem)

“My life is but a weaving
Between my God and me.
I cannot choose the colors
He weaveth steadily.

Oft’ times He weaveth sorrow;
And I in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper
And I the underside.

Not ’til the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Will God unroll the canvas
And reveal the reason why.

The dark threads are as needful
In the weaver’s skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned

He knows, He loves, He cares;
Nothing this truth can dim.
He gives the very best to those
Who leave the choice to Him.”

Corrie ten Boom, The Hiding Place

“...suddenly I was afraid of what Father would say. Afraid he would say, "There'll be someone else soon," and that forever afterward this untruth would lie between us. For in some deep part of me I knew already that there would not--soon or ever--be anyone else.

The sweet cigar-smell came into the room with Father. And of course he did not say the false, idle words.

"Corrie," he began instead, "do you know what hurts so very much? It's love. Love is the strongest force in the world, and when it is blocked that means pain.

"There are two things we can do when this happens. We can kill the love so that it stops hurting. But then of course part of us dies, too. Or, Corrie, we can ask God to open up another route for that love to travel.

"God loves Karel--even more than you do--and if you ask Him, He will give you His love for this man, a love nothing can prevent, nothing destroy. Whenever we cannot love in the old, human way, Corrie, God can give us his perfect way."

I did not know, as I listened to Father's footsteps winding back down the stairs, that he had given me more than the key to this hard moment. I did not know that he had put into my hands the secret that would open far darker rooms than this--places where there was not, on a human level, anything to love at all."

Somethin' about Converse... :)

Wyoming

Each year we try and get out to Wyoming to visit grandparents.
 It's always a delightful time.
Lots of memories for Mama.
A treat for us kids to watch Grandma and Mama reminiscing and seeing where Mama played as a girl. Happy times.

Grandpa Willard

Mama showing us the Indian Tipi rings she played around as a child.

The Guys chatting as we had target practice.

My handsome "little" brother.
Grandpa Jim and Grandma Mary

Only in Wyoming. :)

I think I left my heart in Wyoming... again.  :)

Fall is here with all it's colors.
I am particularly in love with the trees on our front lawn.
The delicious gold and brown against the breathtaking blue sky.
Love.

In the Grove

There are Faeries...

Herbs

Lemon Thyme

Brussels Spouts in a castiron pan with butter and garlic.
Can you hear them sizzling?
Can you smell that delicious golden butter?
Can you see them popping and jumping around in the pan?

A very happy Autumn meal indeed.

Helping Auntie

Little Ethan helped me pick the tomatoes, red hot peppers and brussels sprouts.

After doing a bit of harvest we took a stroll around the block.
Grandma said that we had to make sure we brought back a stick, a rock and a pretty leaf.
He looked SOO carefully for them!! :)

::~::

I had the pleasure of watching the Littles today. It was quite eventful!! :)
I'm not even sure what he was laughing at!
I pulled out my camera and then he started pointing and saying something really fast.
Cutie head.
Be not deceived. The red, white and blue pom-pom is actually corriander.
The suds? Mustard.  :)
She was whisking up a masterpiece.

 Doing our nails.   :)
