In the end I got 1st place in my group of 5 seniors and also other various prizes for being in it.

God was so gracious to me! :D Ethan played well but did not place but he still has quite a few years to improve. :D


Now I just have my Senior Recital in June...

Yes, I'm planning for my Senior recital already. Sure it's a good year away... but I like to be prepared. I think I've actually been planning since 10th grade. :)

a complete surprise to me

Wow! This weekend went by really fast I must say! Saturday I had a piano contest...and guess what! I got first place! I was absolutely thrilled, and surprised. I have been playing in this particular contest for 4 years now. God was soo good to me! He calmed my nerves and helped me to realize that I didn't have to worry about what the outcome would be as long as I played for Him. The Honors Recital is just a little recital that all the people that got a placing (1st, 2nd or honorable mention) got to play in. It was really fun to sit and listen to all the different pieces. So now I don't have any piano events until the fall. Sigh.
