Deo Cantamus

We have had the privilege for the past year or so to participate in a chorale in the cities which is directed by a friend of ours. It is such a blessing to be able to sing in it! Here are a few videos from the March performance.

Here is the website for the organization.

They are all close to my heart, but Light Everlasting and In Paradisum are my favorites. :)

Audrey Assad, Show Me

You could plant me like a tree beside a river
You could tangle me in soil and let my roots run wild
And I would blossom like a flower in the desert
But for now just let me cry

You could raise me like a banner in a battle
Put victory like a fire behind my shining eyes
And I would drift like falling snow over the embers
But for now just let me lie

Bind up these broken bones
Mercy bend and breathe me back to life
But not before You show me how to die

Set me like a star before the morning
Like a song that steals the darkness from a world asleep
And I'll illuminate the path You've laid before me
But for now just let me be

Bind up these broken bones
Mercy bend and breathe me back to life
But not before You show me how to die
Oh, not before You show me how to die

So let me go like a leaf upon the water
Let me brave the wild currents flowing to the sea
And I will disappear into a deeper beauty
But for now just stay with me
God, for now just stay with me

Hey Mom! :-)

We recently had the joy of watching 4 young boys while there parents were at the hospital due to the birth of their new baby sister. :D The youngest decided to adopt Ana as his "Mom" as you will see in the movie. Now, if you look at his little face you will see that he knows that she isn't his actually mother. He just a little teaser. :D

Who else but Rosie? :D

Here are some movies that I found from around Christmas time. The last one is from last Sunday at church and she was listening to Tumbling Tumbleweeds on my MP3 player. She LOVES that song! :D

Our official public performances starts Friday evening. Friday morning George, Clarence and I have a radio interview at 8:30am. I am so excited!! Friday we also have pictures taken with a professional photographer. Saturday is another performance at 7:30. The cast party is on Sunday. Monday is our LAST performance at 7:30. *sigh*. Then we will be ALL done. It's ALMOST OVER! :( I can't believe it was in May that we had auditions and we are finally performing NOW!!

We were in one of the local papers on Sunday and will be in another paper tomorrow. :)

So to start of the performance weekend I will show you guys one movie that I have from the play so far. It is just a blooper where George.... well you'll just have to watch it. :)

Here are the pictures from one of the papers, and here is the article. :)

June!

Nettie
March went out like a lion
Awakin' up the water in the bay;
Then April cried and stepped aside,
And along came pretty little May!
May was full of promises
But she didn't keep 'em quickly enough for some
And the crowd of doubtin' tonuses
Was predictin' that the summer'd never come

Nettie
June is bustin' out all over
All over the meadow and the hill!
Buds're bustin' outa bushes
And the rompin' river pushes
Ev'ry little wheel that wheels beside the mill!

Nettie
Fresh and alive and gay and young
June is a love song, sweetly song

I love June! It's so fresh and happy, plus my birthday is in June! :) This is one of my favorite scenes from the movie. Actually, it's the only scene that I can stand now that I think about it. I don't like the rest of the movie. :)

Happy 1st of June everyone! :)

Being that I posted about some boisterous frogs yesterday I figured I would continue with a little creature that some how found it's way into our house. A little creepy I'd say. But now that it is gone and free and somewhere outside our house I can now return to my geometry...

Sing Frog Sing!

All the little dots in the water are frogs. It's not a very good picture because it doesn't show you how many there were! They were SOOO loud!I must warn you that these little guys are pretty loud!
So you might want to adjust your volume. :)
